"I love making art that is inspiring and uplifting, and spreads beautiful optimism to those who invite my art into their homes."
Hello! My name is Margarita Warner and I love to make art that is inspiring and uplifting, and spreads
beautiful optimism to those who invite my art into their homes. I have been creating since 1995 and
worked as an art director and an interior decorator, as well as selling and showing my collections in
international trade shows and art fairs for over 25 years. I started out designing sculptures and home decor using materials such as iron, glass, wood, clay, and textiles; as well as working in wholesale markets in trade shows and creating my own business. At the time, my representation of an idea began with an actual sized boceto drawing in pencil and black wax marker. To make it easier for my team of artisans to
interpret, I began creating even more precise plans by turning them into paintings on large-format paper.
My pieces are vibrant, creative, intense, and have ranged from artistic home decor, such as sculptural
lamps and metal wall art, to blown glass flower vases and metal and clay sculptures. My original passion
has always been fine art, and the love I have for my family has always inspired me to bring that passion
home. By choosing to stay closer to my two daughters and husband, I paused my career in professional
design and opened my home art studio. Even when I shifted my focus to family, the creativity never
stopped flowing. My love for design, color, interior spaces, and handmade items led me to explore nature
inspired art, motivational quote paintings, and mixed media pieces on canvas, paper, and clay. My artistic
range is wide: watercolors, acrylics, textured abstract paintings, mixed media, hand traced linework, and
handmade mosaics. The versatility is what defines me: a truly multifaceted artist and designer. In 2014, I
launched my Faces Collection, a series of portraits exploring emotion, love, and identity. These works
marked the first steps I took into expressive portraiture and opened a new creative chapter. My life,
artistic journey, and work span over three cultures: Mexico, Italy, and the United States. I am proud to say
that I am a 100% Mexican artist, as I was born there, studied there, and started my career as a graphic
designer. I also first exhibited my work at trade shows in Mexico. However, I married an Italian man and
spent a few seasons of my life living in Italy. Now, I live in the suburbs of Atlanta. Living in so many
different places has led me to meeting so many people, experiencing so many cultures, and most
importantly, giving me a deeper appreciation for how art and color is perceived across cultures. No matter
where I am, my joyful palette remains my signature. My work has been recognized through awards in
Tlaquepaque, trade show features in Mexico City, solo exhibitions in Rome, and media placements
including magazine covers, television settings, and movies. In 2018, I was selected as the featured artist at
the Yellow Daisy Festival in Stone Mountain. My art has evolved from whimsical watercolor florals and
animals into bold, large format acrylic paintings and intricate glass mosaic work. I resist being boxed into
a single style, for me, creativity should never be boring. Each piece I create is a new challenge, a new
emotion, and a new opportunity to create something beautiful and filled with joy. In recent years, my
daughters, Ivana and Paula, have become part of the creative process. They help me design and create the jewelry collection. Their contributions bring a new generation of creativity into the studio and reflect the same joyful, intentional spirit that defines Margarittasart. Every piece on my site is not just handmade, but heart made and a family expression of color, style, and soul.
